Marketing & Assistance

PAAI provides marketing and promotions through several media outlets including Unblurred, our weekly e-newsletter the Alist, the Penn Avenue DVD, and this interactive website. PAAI promotes the district to the Pittsburgh community at large as an arts and culture destination. We also market the district to potential residents, artists and business owners who will add to the eclectic array of artists and businesses that currently call Penn Avenue home. If you want to know what’s hip and happening in the Penn Avenue Arts District, contact us. We’ve envisioned Penn Avenue and you can too! Be part of this burgeoning corridor. You can help us spread the word and encourage others to visit the district. We want people to visit here, work here and live here!

Unblurred: First Fridays on Penn

Unblurred is a monthly event that opens the Penn Avenue Arts District for exploration by adults and children. Attracting between 750 – 1,000 attendees, Unblurred allows the PAAI to demonstrate new ways to live, work, and create.

Penn Avenue DVD

In 2007, PAAI launched the second installment of the Penn Avenue DVD. This marketing tool, introduces the story of Penn Avenue and displays various efforts along the avenue to link the economic, social, cultural and artistic diversity of the adjoining neighborhoods. To view the video click here.

Several other artists along the Avenue have created their own videos and have posted them to YouTube. Check out the links below and see what our artists are doing!
