Leave feedback for PRT about Bus Line Redesign

Have you seen the proposed changes for Pittsburgh's bus lines yet? First, check out the Engage PGH page on the project.

What can each of us do next?

If you are concerned about the very-local impacts to Friendship Ave, S. Pacific Ave, S. Atlantic Ave, and the Coral Street Neighborway, ensure your voice is heard. Real, local impacts of losing existing bus lines are proposed through and around Friendship, and let's not forget the broader impacts to communities across the East End.

1. COMPLETE SURVEY AND/OR POST COMMENTS ON THE MAP REDESIGN

   • Go to https://engage.rideprt.org/buslineredesign/buslineredesign-home
   • Select ‘Review the Entire Draft Network 1.0’
   • Scroll to find the bus line you want to comment on (e.g., 79 / 89 / P17, 87, or 71A)
   • Use ‘Post comment’ (upper right of map) to place feedback directly on the map
   • Scroll down and submit a ‘Draft Network 1.0 Survey’ response

Note: You can submit multiple comments per route to avoid trying to fit all points in one comment.

If you complete the survey, then you may want to consider submitting a survey per each proposed route that interests you to ensure it registers with PRT. You can use the two free-text fields to provide details of concerns. One is called ‘Is there a route change that you are most excited to see implemented? Why?’ and the other is ‘Do you have any additional ideas or comments about the proposed network to the project team?’

Note: In the four questions with the sliding dot, if you want to choose ‘neither agree or disagree’, then simply click on it even though it appears                       already set. It will not accept the submission otherwise.

2. CONTACT PRT VIA EMAIL/PHONE

If you prefer to make direct contact with PRT or want to amplify your other feedback, then email buslineredesign@rideprt.org or call PRT Customer Service 412-442-2000.

3. ATTEND A PRT PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT EVENT

You can also sign up for one of the upcoming PRT public engagement events:

   • Go to https://engage.rideprt.org/buslineredesign/buslineredesign-home
   • Scroll down to ‘Public Engagement Events’
   • Select ‘Show more events’ until one of interest appears

There will be at least one pop-up feedback opportunity at the Bloomfield Saturday Market. The first one is scheduled for November 2nd.

4. TAKE ACTION WITH US

Interested in getting involved with our advocacy efforts? Email info@friendship-pgh.org to let us know, and request to join Friendship's "Bus Line Redesign" email discussion group. Some next steps in the works include wider posting of new, targeted route flyers and door-to-door flyer drops to raise awareness across Friendship and portions of adjacent impacted neighborhoods. We are also continuing to engage in broader outreach efforts with other impacted communities around us.
